Fettercairn 50 Years Old 50% 70cl
Aged for five decades in carefully selected casks, this superb, well balanced and impressive non-chill filtered single malt was launched by Fettercairn mid-2018 as part of their new core range. As well as incorporating the notes of tropical fruits, soft spices and toffee like sweetness that is to be expected from a Fettercairn whisky there is also a surprisingly fresh fruitiness to its palate that you would not expect from a malt of this age.
Nose: Tropical fruits.
Palate: Blackcurrant, vanilla pear and soft spices.
Finish: Strong finish of Nectarine, tropical fruits and subtle hints of roasted coffee.
